The New Do.

So yeah, just like me with the whole "changing my hair like I change my underwear", I went at it again. I can never seem to keep a style or a color for more than 2 weeks, at the least. I'm always dying it.

no, back to blond.
no let's do red.
I'm sick of this go back to black.
Ugh I'm gonna do brown with highlights.
It's a never ending thing with me. People think my hair is going to fall out, but I do take good care of my hair. For me, I have to wash my hair every day. I can not go a day without washing it otherwise I feel yucky even if my hair is not oily or flat. I blow out my hair on a daily basis as well as flat ironing it too.

I'd say the beginning of February, I had had enough with my hair. I was growing it out for my wedding. It was already somewhat long but it was just annoying. I could throw it up in a pony tail or curl it. Even put extensions in it and call it a day. But I got sick of that real quick. I have naturally unruly curly hair. It's a pain to deal with or even manage, so getting ready always took me at least 1 hour and 45 minutes. Well I don't have that time anymore... Waiting on me to get ready and always having to do thing later than I'd like to. So finally I was over it and ready to do a cut I was looking at for a long time. Valentine's Day, I made an appointment at a new hair salon I found. Usually I'm very weary about someone I don't know nor never seen touch my hair, but when I met the girl I knew she'd do a good job. I explained to her the cut and she knew right away what I was going for. She said it was edgy and was going to be fun, but of course tried to make sure it was what I wanted since I had long hair and was going to a drastic chop. I didn't look back, I needed change. So, here was the result after my FIRST visit with her:

I was so happy. I loved it. It felt new, light, and fresh. It also cut down my "getting ready" time to about a half hour for my hair. I wish I would have taken pics of the back, because it was short and stacked but faded into a longer length as it wrapped around to the left side where it is a A-Line Bob angle (which is the hair cut I had before, it was very drastic and a very high back and very long front. I loved it!). After about a month, the only thing that started bugging me was the right side (as it grew out) started getting puffy and I was getting annoyed having to keep tucking it behind my ear, so I went back and decided to go shorter. Way shorter. This was the shortest I've ever gone myself or at least since I was a child when I had short hair. It felt good. This was the result of the second appointment:

That was taken right after when I dyed it back to black. Mistake! It was too dark and I waited until it faded, which it did to a nice dark brown. Now I'm going back to a blond-ish color for the spring/summer. Hopefully I keep up with it because I have a tendency of throwing a very bright red onto my blond when I get bored. But so far I'm loving this style. The only thing is the keep up. I think I'm going to grow it out for now and see what comes of it. I've always loved having one side much longer than the other.

I did not forget about this blog, haha. Even though it's what I'm known for, I did not! I'm currently testing products (for more than 1 day unlike some other people who do reviews)and figuring out exactly my pro's & con's about each one. I will have more makeup looks up soon, I have a ton I need to upload so expect that! Something will be up soon, I promise! :-)

Valentine's Day Inspired Makeup

This is a quick look I created inspired by Valentine's Day of course, but can be worn any time of the year in my opinion. I'll probably post a few more this weekend of other V-Day looks I'll do. This look was created with my trusty 120 palette.

Revlon Scented Parfume Nail Polish

So I've been on a crazy look out for a lavender nail polish for a few months now. The first time I saw one was on Forever21.com and it was sold out rather quickly and I haven't seen it on the site since. So I happened to be browsing through CVS the other day and caught my eyes on this new nail polish Revlon came out with and to my surprise they had a lavender color. It's called Gum Drop and it's supposedly scented once it dries. So once I put this polish on and about 3 coats of it so it was evenly colored and very vibrant, I fell in love. It is so beautiful! So after letting it dry, I completely forgot that it was supposed to be scented and went about my day. I kept smelling something marshmellow-y... kind of like vanilla, I just couldn't figure out what. I don't wear vanilla perfume so... Then I remembered my nails. Upon taking a whiff, I found where that sweet smell was coming from. It was my nail polish! It wasn't a nasty smell like nail polish or the strong scent of acetone, the polish completely smells sweet like a dessert. I was very surprised. Not only that, but the color hasn't budged or chipped yet and it's been about 4 days. Usually by that time my nails are wrecked (which is I never get them professionally done because it would be a waste of money in my case). I'm almost tempted to go back and buy a few more of the colors they had on display because I am thoroughly pleased with the polish, the color, the scent, and the longevity of this polish.
